Getting to know you ... getting to know all about you ...
Believe - in Yourself!
The most important thing you can do in improving yourself is to believe in yourself and what you do. We all have the inner CRITIC - who comes out at every opportunity and tells us what we can't do and what we are not good at.We have to learn to develop our inner CHEERLEADER - the one that says: Well done you for doing this....... Well done you for finishing that ..... Well done you for being YOU!!!!! It is so important not to put ourselves down, because with that sort of attitude we will not succeed. If you start believing in yourself - that's when things start to happen!!!! Try it and if you need help, contact me.

Dreams are fleeting moments in our lives, they are here, and then …. they are gone. They are hard to hold onto. Sometimes we want to, sometimes we are afraid to.
We are defined by our choices and without big dreams we don't have big goals.
“There's no time to loose, I heard her say. Go catch your dreams before they slip away. And dying all the time, lose our dreams and you will lose your mind, ain't life unkind...” ~ from “Goodbye
Ruby Tuesday” by The Rolling Stones.
Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensation that occur usually involuntary in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The Sumerians in Mesopotamia left evidence of dreams dating back to 3100 BC. According
to these early recorded stories, gods and kings paid close attention to dreams. In ancient Egypt, as far back as 2000 BC, the Egyptians wrote down their dreams on papyrus. People with vivid and significant dreams were thought blessed and were considered special. They believed that dreams were like oracles, bringing messages from the gods, and so they would go to sanctuaries and sleep on special “dream beds” in hope of receiving advice, comfort, or healing from the gods. The Greeks beliefs were, that their gods physically visited the dreamer, giving divine messages.

Elemi - Sacred Resin
Elemi (Canarium luzonicum) is a tree native to the Philippines and some neighbouring nations. The tree produces a pale yellow resin with honey-like consistency. The essential oil is extracted by steam distillation of the gum obtained from the tree. The main components of this oil are terpineol, phellandrene, dipentene, elemicine, elemol and limonene.
Elemi was possibly one of the first aromatics used by the ancient Egyptians as part of embalming formulas. It is also documented that the Egyptians used it in their daily skincare preparations. Other traditions used the resin and oil as part of sacred rituals to clarify and enhance consciousness and to connect the material realm with the realm of the divine.
The name Elemi is derived from an Arabic phrase meaning “as above, so below”, which tells us something about its action on the emotional and spiritual planes.
Elemi oil may help support emotional and spiritual balance. It may help align the chakras and release stress from the body. It is strengthening and centering and may stimulate the mental ability to help you create a more positive outlook. It may be helpful in reducing fear by releasing blocked energies. It may also be helpful to protect against negative energies. Elemi may help support you during times of change by helping you to find your bearings and to open yourself up to dealing with the new situation. It may help encourage confidence in your abilities and clear the mind, so you can approach situations more directly.
Elemi has a spicy, incense-like scent that is soft and somewhat balsamic. A member of the same botanical family as Frankincense and Myrrh, it has been used traditionally for the skin. Elemi may help smooth the appearance of healthy looking skin and can be used for massage after activity.
In the Film 'White Christmas' Bing Crosby sings a wonderful song with Rosemary Clooney and one line is: “If you're worried and you can't sleep, just count your blessings instead of sheep, and you'll fall asleep counting your blessings.” It makes you feel wonderful and fuzzy warm inside watching them, and that is exactly what Gratitude will make you feel like.
In our daily rush we often forget to be grateful. Grateful for all the little things – the beautiful sunset; the neighbour, who signed for our delivery; the spider that spins her wonderful web so brilliantly; birds singing in the morning; rising mist on the lake; etc.
We do not see with our heart, we close it off. And yet it is so important to be grateful – especially for all these wonderful little things, that we all encounter daily. We are so busy focusing on the negative that we get off track.
Stop – breathe – be grateful!
Gratitude™ is a soothing blend of essential oils designed to elevate the spirit, calm emotions, and bring relief to the body while helping to foster a grateful attitude.
If you consciously and intentionally practice an attitude of gratitude it will literally change your life. All you need to do is make a conscious choice to be truly grateful. This will work because when broken down, anything and everything starts in the mind – and what happens on the outside is a mirror reflection of this conscious decision.

A Story of Joy
A crow lived in the forest and was absolutely satisfied in life. But one day he saw a swan. “This swan is so white,” he thought, “and I am so black. This swan must be the happiest bird in the world.”
He expressed his thoughts to the swan. “Actually,” the swan replied, “I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw a parrot, which has two colors. I now think the parrot is the happiest bird in creation.” The crow then approached the parrot. The parrot explained,... “I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock. I have only two colors, but the peacock has multiple colors.”
The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people
had gathered to see him. After the people had left, the crow approached the peacock. “Dear peacock,” the crow said, “you are so beautiful. Every day thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately shoo me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.”
The peacock replied, “I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet. But because of my beauty, I am entrapped in this zoo. I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realized that the crow is the only bird not kept in a cage. So for past few days I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere.”
The crow thinks the swan is happy, the swan thinks the parrot is happy, the parrot thinks the peacock is happy and the peacock thinks the crow is happy.
We make unnecessary comparisons with others and define our reality by appearances. We don’t value our current state of mind and experience. This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness. Learn to be happy with what you have instead of looking at what you don’t have. There will always be someone who will have more or less than you have. A person who is satisfied with what he/she has, is the happiest person in the world. Or, as Eckhart Tolle puts it: “Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.”
Joy is a luxuriously exotic blend with uplifting overtones that create magnetic energy and bring joy to the heart. When worn as cologne or perfume, Joy exudes an alluring and irresistible fragrance that inspires romance and togetherness. When diffused, it can be refreshing and uplifting.

One of the herbs was especially dear to her, it had been created by Venus, who also gave it the sweet scent that Aphrodite loved so much. Marjoram was her favourite herb. In the middle ages it was a sign of everlasting love and honour, bridal couples wore wreaths of marjoram. It was added to food to nurture love. Also, Marjoram was strewn around houses as a deodorant.

The Gift – the Story of a Noble Journey
Every single person is given their very own special gift – The Gift – to travel their very own unique path when they come into this world. Then life happens, and it's easy to forget what it is we came for. Sometimes, we hear whispers in the wind, we see short flashbacks of our very own reason, but just like that – they are gone again and we carry on living. If we are lucky, and many of us are, we open ourselves up and see that there is more; and if we are really lucky we open our heart and go out in search of this gift and our road will lead us to feelings of joy and happiness that we have never felt before. This way we will remember our reason for being – love. We are love, we come from love and we go back to love. Love knows no borders or boundaries, it can travel
everywhere, reach everyone and everything. It is our most precious gift, our most precious possession, the greatest wealth we could ever ask for. Love is what it is - it is Love.
The formula The Gift includes seven ancient oils, combining to capture the spirit of Arabia. This oil blend represents Mary’s gift to Gary in honour of Shutran’s noble journey through the book “The One Gift.”
Thyme – Protecting the Brave
For thousands of years, Thyme has been the superstar of the herb garden. The name originates from the Greek thumos, which signifies courage. Roman soldiers exchanged sprigs of Thyme as a sign of respect. The Greeks also considered Thyme an emblem of bravery. In the middle ages ladies would pin sprigs of Thyme on the sash of their knights, for protection. The Ancient Egyptians used Thyme as perfume and for embalming.
Thyme has a spicy, warm, herbaceous aroma that is both powerful and penetrating. Known since ancient times as a medicinal herb, thyme contains large amounts of thymol.
Ylang Ylang - Scent of Scents
A fairy tale from the Philippines:
“A gifted gardener named Dumaleg and his wife Amara could not seem to have children. They visited a local managanito or soothsayer who told them that the gods were unhappy that Dumaleg had married for they wanted him to raise plants and flowers, not children. However, the managanito interceded with the gods and shortly thereafter the couple had a baby girl but on the condition that the girl never be allowed to marry even though she would be as beautiful and fresh as the flowers from Dumaleg’s garden. They named their daughter Ylang and raised her away from the eyes of men. However, one day when the parents
were away from home a young man spotted Ylang over the courtyard wall and introduced himself. He continued to visit Ylang several times and she was careful not to touch him. One day he brought her a bouquet of flowers to express his feelings and their fingers touched when she took the bouquet. Immediately she disappeared and where she had been standing the gods grew a tree with beguiling scented small yellow flowers. In deep mourning the young man named this tree Ylang Ylang in remembrance of the beautiful Ylang.”
In the Philippines young women decorate their hair with this beautiful flower to this day.
To stand under a Ylang Ylang tree is to inhale peace and serenity from the bloom known as the “flower of flowers” or “fragrance of fragrances”. The name in Tagalog when spelled ilang means wilderness, alluding to its natural habitat, but when ilang-ilan is used it means rare, referring to its beautiful and delicate scent. Like the warm wind off a tropical island with just a hint of spice and verdant richness, Ylang Ylang carries the sweet, fresh scent of tropical flowers. Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata) has a sweet, soft, flowery fragrance that has made it a romantic favourite. In Indonesia, the petals are often strewn across a marriage bed. Ylang Ylang is extremely effective in calming and bringing about a sense of relaxation, and it may help with releasing feelings of anger, tension, and nervous irritability. It has a long history in skin and hair care products, particularly in Asia, where it is used to promote luxuriant hair.
Northern Lights Black Spruce – Magic in a Bottle
Black Spruce (Picea mariana) is a member of the Pinaceae plant family. It's an evergreen coniferous tree native to Canada, including all three Arctic territories. Historically the Lakota used it for spiritual rituals because of its purifying and cleansing properties. Various native American Indian tribes made a string from the roots and used it to stitch the bark of their canoes, to sew baskets, etc. The pitch obtained from the trunk was used as a sealing material on the hulls of the canoes. Chewing gum also used to be made from Black Spruce.
Black Spruce is grounding and stimulating. Its fresh, clean scent brings feelings of harmony and goodwill and it helps people to get in touch with their true
feelings by clearing emotional blockages. Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil comes from our Northern Lights farm in British Columbia, Canada.
Diffuse this rich, woodsy and invigorating scent during meditation to create a fresh and aromatic atmosphere. It helps maintain the appearance of healthy looking skin. Apply to bottoms of feet, along the spine, back of neck or wherever desired, and use for massage.
During my morning meditation with Northern Lights Black Spruce, I channeled a message from the plant spirit. This is the exact message I got through:
I live under the Aurora Borealis and absorb all of her healing qualities. I want to be sent out into the world, so I can bring love, compassion and healing to all beings that live on this planet and to Gaia herself. Peace, compassion, kindness, and abundance for all. It is not just the Rock and Crystal People and the Fae that bring peace, harmony and healing to body, mind and spirit. Me and my plant brothers and sisters are here at this time ready for harvest. Breathe with us, sing with us, we are one, all of us are connected in the oneness. The Aurora is here to heal as well, you can connect yourself to her through me if you so wish. I am here for you.
