(Rider-Waite Tarot deck)

Both these cards came up for you this morning.

Today you have the opportunity to be honest with yourself about the kind of person you would like to be. It's not about what kind of person you should be, your parents want you to be, your friends want you to be; it's about YOU and your wishes. It can be hard to separate your own needs from those needs that you think others might have and then maybe they are also what you want. This is exactly what makes your life so complicated. Try and have a really honest conversation with yourself and find out what it is that you actually want. This can be quite difficult, as all your life you have been trying to second guess what others expect you to want and to be. Now the time has come to look at yourself and “tell me what you want, what you really, really want” (to quote the Spice Girls). There is no need to feel embarrassed, it is okay, you have the right to your own opinion. Relationships are important, but to have them – which ever form they might be (ie. best friend, boyfriend, friend, colleague, etc.) – just to please others, to look cool, because everyone does it, because you think others might want you to have this relationship and if you think about it you maybe actually want it, too – is not doing you any good. It's time to get your intellectual hat on and be the master of reason and logic. This way you will find out what it actually is that you want, without second guessing others and taking on their desires, and then act accordingly.
