Sometimes, while reminiscing about the past, regret, pain, guilt, anger or resentment enter our thoughts. Then we get stuck in negative emotions, blame and what if thinking. It is important for you to try and focus on the present moment and what you want your future to look like. What is in the past may not have been great, but it's time for you to release it. You may wish you would have handled situations better, especially as a parent, or you may wish you would have been treated with more respect and love by your parents. It's now time to let go of all that old anger, guilt, resentment, hurt, regret and pain. Those kind of emotions poison your body and mind and keep you trapped in a downward spiral of feeling unworthy of all the good that wants to enter your life. If you feel overwhelmed by the thought of having to do this on your own, there is no need. Get help from a trusted friend, relative, CPS nurse, support group, reiki master, shaman, spiritual adviser, or anyone you feel comfortable with. Once you change your focus from what you have lost to what you have gained, your life will start to make sense again.
