This week is all about self-worth. All our interactions with the world show us how much we think we deserve. How much beauty we see around us, how much time we take to acknowledge it, how much we let others be, everything we say and do is reflecting back to us how we see ourselves and how much we think we are worth.
When we feel worthless, we tend to wallow in self-pity, and strange thoughts pop into our heads. We have a tendency to blame ourselves for everything and put others on a pedestal.
The other side of feeling worthless is anger. We are angry at ourselves and the world for treating us this way and blame everyone else for our shortcomings. This then tends to lead to “if only” thinking. If only so and so would change, if only I had a new job, if only I was prettier, etc.
Our own self-worth determines how we live our life in every situation, even how much we are willing to work on ourselves. If we feel worthless, we may not even feel able to change any part of our thinking to help us move forward. It all comes down how much we allow ourselves to receive.
