Though Athena is the goddess of war strategy, she disliked fighting without purpose and preferred to use wisdom to settle predicaments. She encouraged men and women to stop giving away their power to others.
Out of our own insecurities and disconnection from what is the real truth, we all create this veil of illusion that surrounds us. Seeking to attain the needs of our soul in unhealthy ways gives birth to drama. When we surround ourselves with dramatic situations, taken from our own lives or that of others, we give away our power.
Drama is highly addictive, the more we are sucked into the plot, twists and turns, the more we are enjoying it. It goes as far as that we start to crave it and want more and more. This is why we then create it in our own lives. We start getting emotionally involved and identify with outside circumstances that have nothing to do with us at all.
We read something in the paper or on the internet, see something on TV, and get extremely emotional. This then leads us to the feeling of being personally involved. Then we start reacting to it and with that spreading it. This feeds the story and our own addiction. And with it we are easily manipulated.
To stop this roller-coaster ride, the first step is to get in touch with your intuition. The foundation of inner awareness comes through the connection with your higher self, your soul voice, the place in you that is completely quiet and calm. When you stop reacting to your every emotion, but listen to the soft steady voice of inner knowing.
Your soul voice will help you detect and detach from drama and open your eyes to the world that lies beneath the surface. This is where your power lies, your true power. The power that comes with the responsibility and ability to create from a place of Love. Here you can start to Love yourself completely and unconditionally and with that attract loving energies from others that you have been yearning for.
