Forgiveness has nothing to do with other people, forgiveness is purely about yourself.
Even if the anger you are feeling towards someone else is justified, even if they have treated you despicable, who exactly are you hurting by holding on to your anger and blame?
Yes, you are right, You are hurting Yourself!
Anger eats away at you, it poisons your body, mind and soul and with that your environment.
Holding on to anger causes blockages that may lead to all sorts of side effects on your body and mind. It can go as far as that it interferes with your daily routines, your work life, your finances, your love life, your relationships and it may even literally make you ill.
Holding on to anger and blame also keeps you trapped in victim mentality, when you blame everyone and the world for how you feel and what happens to you. It stops you from thinking for yourself and sucks you into a downward spiral.
Once you truly forgive, you are able to let go of it and with that you will find that you also get out of this victim mentality. Then you are able to move forward and live the life you have always wanted.
