This Month was named after the Greek Goddess Maia, whose Roman equivalent was the Goddess Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May. The Roman poet Ovid, however, is of the opinion that the month was named for the maiores, Latin for elders, and that June was named for the iuniores, Latin for juniors.
May is the fifth month and has 31 days. It is a month of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and of Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Birthstone is the Emerald – promotes harmony, love and success; supports seeking and realizing objectives.

Angel Number 5 – Life changes that will bring many positive opportunities.
